Our Birds of Prey Program introduces students to the world of raptors and the amazing adaptations that make them such skilled hunters. Participants will explore the basics of raptor biology, including behavior, training, and conservation. The program includes engaging stories and fun facts about these remarkable birds, plus a chance to meet at least three glove-trained raptors up close for a truly unforgettable experience.

Take an inside look at the Outer Banks Wildlife Shelter and discover what goes on behind the scenes of wildlife rehabilitation. This guided experience offers an up-close look at our daily operations and the important role OWLS plays in protecting and conserving native wildlife. The visit also includes an engaging Birds of Prey presentation featuring at least two glove-trained raptors, giving guests a rare opportunity to see these incredible birds up close.

This is a great way to showcase our ambassadors without the structure of a formal presentation. Our team will set up an engaging booth featuring information about the Outer Banks Wildlife Shelter, along with interactive and educational materials for guests to explore. Throughout the event, our ambassadors will make special appearances, creating a fun, educational, and memorable experience for everyone.
